I think gardens and green spaces are hugely important to people’s health, happiness and sense of well being.

I meet many people who have become frustrated with their garden and can’t see where to go next.  Often the garden has become a burden and not the pleasure it should be.

By listening carefully to my clients and understanding what they would like to achieve I can draw on my skills to create a garden that will bring enjoyment.

I have had a lifelong passion for horticulture and design. It has been a pleasure to be able to combine the two and make Garden Design my new career.

In 2004 I left a successful career in finance to re-train at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Harlow Carr gardens in Harrogate and Askham Bryan College in York. I have also brought many of the skills learned as a management accountant to my own business, New Leaf Design, which was established in 2005.

My interest started early - this is me age 2 ‘helping’ in the garden.
